Updates to COVID-19 Protocol
Do not go to class or socialize if you are feeling sick or have a fever. Please take an at-home COVID test and follow the instructions below.
WHAT DO I DO IF I TEST NEGATIVE FOR COVID-19?
WHAT DO I DO IF I TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19?
Step 1.
Isolate in place immediately.
- Monitor your symptoms. If you develop moderate or severe symptoms, schedule an appointment via the Student Health Portal, TimelyCare, or your primary care physician to access care. Call 911 if you are experiencing a medical emergency.
- Wear a high-quality mask for 10 days; if you must be around others, separate yourself as much as possible.
- Contact your school to manage your absence due to isolation:
- Undergraduate College students can complete a Student Self-Service Absence Form to notify professors of your absence.
- All other students (graduate, professional, non-College undergraduates) may fill out a Student of Concern Form to notify your program of your absence.
Step 2.
You should isolate, at minimum, until the following 3 criteria are all met in order to significantly decrease transmission to others.
- You have not had a fever for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication, AND
- You have significantly improving symptoms for at least 24 hours, AND
- You agree to always wear a high-quality mask on campus, unless you are alone AND actively eating/drinking, for 10 days from the onset of symptoms.
Step 3.
Continuing following these CDC recommendations.
- Wear a high-quality mask around others at home and in public until day 10.
- Keep your distance from people who have weakened immune systems or are more likely to get very sick from COVID-19, nursing homes and other high-risk settings, until after at least 10 days.
- Do not travel for at least 5 days after testing positive or while you have COVID-19 symptoms.
