Physical Exams

Emory University Student Health Services (EUSHS) performs physical examinations for a wide variety of purposes. All physical exams are done on an appointment basis only. Effective Fall 2014, there will be fee-for-service charges for annual wellness physical exams, including a man's annual wellness physical or a woman's annual pap and pelvic exam (pap smear and lab testing are also done on a fee-for-service basis).  Under the Affordable Care Act, insurance plans are required to cover physical exams and appropriate screening testing; please check with your insurance carrier if you have questions about your levels of coverage.  Annual physical exams at EUSHS are covered 100% under the Emory/Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan.

Other types of physical examinations available at EUSHS on a fee-for-service basis include:

  • Allied Health, Medical and Nursing school entrance form physicals
  • Insurance form physicals
  • Ordination form physicals
  • Peace Corps form physicals
  • Pre-operative clearance physicals
  • Study Abroad form physicals
  • Summer camp form physicals
  • Visa or international travel form physicals

Once again, physicals exams are done on a fee-for-service basis and are not covered by Emory tuition.
