Outreach and Educational Programming


CAPS provides educational programs for student organizations, academic departments, residence halls, fraternities and sororities, etc.  Some examples of workshop topics for students include:  stress management; body image and eating disorders; imposter syndrome; assertiveness training; understanding depression and suicide (including QPR-Question, Persuade, Refer-Training); healthy relationships; and various other mental-health related topics. 


CAPS provides consultation and training for staff on topics that involve their role in supporting students in distress.  These topics include providing information about CAPS services; enhancing skills in working with college students; intervening with students in distress; and suicide prevention training (QPR-Question, Persuade, Refer-Training). 

CAPS provides workshops on additional topics depending upon the needs of the requesting organization.



To request an outreach program, please fully complete the Outreach Request Form. All requests should be made a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks in advance of the workshop date. Email completed form to Dr. Jane Yang at jyang01@emory.edu or mail via campus mail to:
